I work professionally as an Overnight Central Operations Analyst for the Citizen app where I write timeline-style copy derived from multiple streams of real-time communication between public safety personnel. Regularly notifying hundreds of thousands of Citizen app users with my updates, I have been trained to exercise unquestionably high editorial standards in situations that I report and how I report them. Citizen analysts work 24/7/365 covering local, regional, national, and international news stories in order to help keep the public safe, protected, and, most importantly, accurately informed.
As an undergraduate, I received the Landes Award for technical writing and had short fiction and poetry, and op-ed pieces, published in The Michigan Daily and The Michigan Independent, respectively. As a graduate student, I received the Full Sail University Course Director Award in 5 out of 12 courses, which is presented to the top student in the class, honoring high marks (4.0 GPA in 11 of 12 courses), quality writing, excellent communication, and a strong desire to succeed in the industry.
